Winter Indoor League – Finals Time!

The round-robin series of games for Winter Indoor League has come to an end. Now it’s finals time!

The full results tables are available on the Winter Social League 2011 page. Read on for a summary of how things lie heading into the semi-finals today, prior to the grand final matches next week Sunday.

Beginner Division

Team Redfin has had a great league with only one loss against their name. Smiggle Pants and Drop the Pull have both performed consistently with a couple of wins a piece, and a draw to their name. Night Fury have worked hard but only came away with one win throughout the round-robin games leaving them in fourth place on the ladder.

The semi-finals this week sees Redfin up against Night Fury. The second game should be an exciting close match between Smiggle Pants and Drop the Pull. The winners of both those games will go into next weeks’ grand final whilst the losing teams will be playing off for third and fourth place overall.

Intermediate Division

The intermediate division has also experienced a dominant team. Mc Scuba is yet to lose a game. Tequila Mockingbird is second on the ladder with one extra win over Ewe Guise and Dibs Not who each have 3 victories a piece.

White Collar Workers are in fifth place with 2 victories and Pop off round out the league table, unfortunately without victory in the round-robin.

Tonight’s semi-finals should be interesting and we’ve all seen upsets in positions when the finals come around. White Collar Workers will play off against Pop off for the 5th and 6th positions on the ladder.

The remaining teams all have a chance to take out the league, playing for the right to mix it up in the grand final next week. Firstly we have Mc Scuba playing against Dibs Not. Tequila Mockingbird will line up against Ewe Guise. The winners of those games will be in the grand final next week. The losers will be heading to a game playing for 3rd and 4th spot in the final results.

Good luck to everyone playing tonight! Should be some exciting games!
