Winter Indoor League – Semi-finals wrap up

As expected there were some exciting games held on Sunday afternoon in the Winter Indoor League Semi-finals. There was plenty of fast paced action, some very close games and a major upset as well! Read on for more information!

Beginner Division

Both beginner division games were close however the structure of the ladder prevailed. Redfin were victorious over Night Fury whilst Drop the Pull managed to come out on top against Smiggle Pants.

As a result the grand-final next week will see Redfin playing against Drop the Pull whilst Night Fury and Smiggle Pants will be playing for the third and fourth places.

Anything can happen so the grand-final should be an exciting game. There may even be an upset at the pointy end of the league. It happened in Intermediate!

Intermediate Division

Intermediate Division saw a major upset at the top of the table. Mc Scuba suffered their first loss of the league right where it mattered most! Dibs Not played hard and points were traded throughout the whole game. On the final sirenĀ Dibs Not were one point ahead, earning the right to play in the grand final on Sunday against Ewe Guise, who were victorious over Tequila Mockingbird.

This relegated Mc Scuba into a playoff for the third and fourth places against Tequila Mockingbird. Meanwhile, the 5th and 6th places have been decided with White Collar Workers victorious over the wooden spoon winners, Pop Off.

Grand Finals Week

This Sunday we wrap up our Indoor season for another year with the conclusion of our Winter League. As evidenced by the semi-finals, there should be some great games to watch so we hope we get a mini-crowd along to support and heckle our finals contenders.

Good luck to all players and we hope everyone can stick around after the games for our traditional post-league BBQ!
