Autumn Social League – Wrap Up

Autumn League finals were run and won on Sunday night. Here’s a wrap up of the league from the League Organisers:

This years Autumn Indoor League was by far one of the most competitive we have ever held and was great to see so many new players coming along.

Beginner was amazingly close with no team making a clear break when we tallied up the scores. In a fitting end due to player absences over the finals we have declared 3 winners.

Points winner for beginners goes to Felix, Grand Final came in a draw with Geeks and Purple Monkey Dishwasher unable to get a clear break in the end.

Spirit this season goes to Purple Monkey Dishwasher.

Style in the Final went to Michael Zehmeister for pulling out his bright pink 2012 Two Hat Jersey in combination with his pink cycling cap.

Guts in the final went to Jessica Widdison for pulling off some spectacular D’s and end zone plays.

Intermediate became an all or nothing battle between the aptly named Luke (it’s a team made of Lukes) and every other team. In this case youth clearly dominated experience and subsequently left every team chasing to beat them.

In the end Luke took out both the points score and also the grand final with a one point defeat over the slightly beefed up Wat For.

Wat For was this seasons spirit winner.

Guts and Style in the end went to Isaac for putting his body on the line and doing it in an impressively stylish manner.

On behalf of the TD’s Dale, Liz and Nick thanks to everyone who played this season and we can’t wait to see you next time.

Thanks to Dale, Liz and Nick and all the other volunteers who helped make this league happen. Registrations will open for Winter League in the near-future, so keep your eyes peeled!
