Autumn Advanced League Wrap Up

Autumn Advanced League finished up last week with some great matches in front of record-breaking crowds. Here’s a wrap-up from the League Organiser, Eliza:

Following 8 weeks of round robin games, the finals were held. Both teams in the finals had one win each from playing each other in the round robins matches, therefore, it was too hard to predict who would be the victor out of Rugrats and Last Resort. However on the slightly chilly Wednesday evening, Last Resort lead in confident style to defeat Rugrats 15 to 6.

On the other field, a battle was also raging for the not normally coveted 3rd avoidance of the unwanted last place), with both teams neck and neck up to 4 all. Monsters pulled away slightly to take the game 10-7.

A most enjoyable night was had by all and with one of the largest crowds in attendance at a league final that I have witnessed.

Thanks to my league assistant Luke and to all others that helped out at various points โ€“ Joe for field organising, Dale for payment stuff, Arthur for collecting cones at the end of games each week, and anybody else I canโ€™t think ๐Ÿ˜€ you are all appreciated.

The TUA would like to extend their thanks to both Eliza and Luke for their efforts in running a very enjoyable league!

Meanwhile, Autumn Indoor Social League continues on Sunday afternoons and there’s plans afoot for a Winter Advanced League to commence in June.
