The Tasmanian Two-Hat is an annual, two-day ultimate hat tournament – a weekend jam-packed full of ultimate fun, lots of games, a party and a barbecue.

Two-Hat XIV will use the “hat” format, in which random teams are drawn out of a hat. This makes for a great way to meet and play with new people – you might find some new future team-mates!

We welcome players of all skill levels, including complete beginners.

Importantly – player numbers will be capped at 72. Any additional players will be placed on a waiting list. Get in quick!

Tournament Fees

Two-Hat fees are as follows.

Early Bird fee (ends 22/09/12) $85
Standard fee (ends 06/10/12) $105
Late fee (ends on the day) $125

Notes for New Players

You must be a member of the Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA) to play this tournament, as it's required for insurance purposes. Sign up here—it's free and easy. If you're already a member but have forgotten your AFDA number, you can search for yourself using the member search.

Player Agreement

By registering for this league you agree to the following:

  • You will play within the spirit of the game.
  • You have read and will abide by the AFDA Safe Play Policies.
  • Your name may be used in a publicly accessible TUA archive.
  • Your photo may be published online and/or may be used for publicity purposes.

How to Register & Pay

Please fill in the registration form below and then pay for your registration. Electronic transfers to the TUA bank account are preferred. Please include a reference comment of "2HAT12 Your Name" with your payment. Cash or cheque payments are accepted, however there is a $5 surcharge.

What do I need to bring?

Your tournament fee provides you with a Two-Hat shirt, lunches on both days and a barbecue dinner on the second day.  You need to provide some other stuff, so here's a list of things to bring:

  • Cleats (it's an outdoor tournament)
  • Shorts, socks, and whatever other sports clothes you'd like to play in
  • A Raincoat (the forecast isn't great)
  • Warm clothes for lunchtime, breaks and during the finals
  • Stylish clothes for the finals - we recommend fun hats, silly socks and other accessories
  • Water bottle
  • Snacks
  • Any medical supplies you might need
  • Money for the shop that sells drinks and snacks.

Fruit and Sunscreen will provided free of charge.

In addition to the games the Two-Hat consists of a couple of other fun events! All participants are encouraged to attend for a full weekend of ultimate fun!

Disc Golf

Preceding the tournament on the Friday night is the annual Phillip Redneck Ruddock Throw Them Overboard Disc Golf Classic. Held since 2003 the Disc Golf Classic is always a great way to start the Two Hat weekend.

Tee off time is at 7:30 in St David’s Park, Hobart. 18 holes will be played and there will be prizes awarded for the best scores in the traditional two categories, skirts and non-skirts.

Non Two-Hat registrants are also welcome and encouraged to come along for some golfing fun!

Party

The part will start at 7:30pm at the Duke Hotel, at 192 Macquarie Street, Hobart.
